Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the Garden Section at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Harvey McMurry officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 until 4:00 on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
William was born June 29, 1928 in Wichita Falls, Texas and was the only child born to Stephen and Alice (Strickland) Cain. He lived in Wichita Falls all of his life. William met and married Betty Mayfield on September 4, 1971 in Wichita Falls. He worked for White’s Auto Store for 41 years. He played bass in a bluegrass band and traveled the southwest with his band. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
William is preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Alice.
He is survived by his son, Steve Cain and his wife Linda; daughter, Susan Vidacovich; grandchildren, Samatha, Virginia and Matthew; 2 great-grandchildren, Mia and McKenna.
