

Zola Lee "Midge" Wagler, 90 of Wichita Falls, TX, departed this life on July 8, 2025. Midge left this world gently under hospice care. Hospice of Wichita Falls helped ensure her comfort and peace.
Her final days were calm and full of love. Family stayed close by at her bedside, in spirit as well as in prayer.
Midge was born on July 13, 1934 in Fairgrove, MO. She was the daughter of Roy Lee Hunt & Lois Mildred Norton. Midge attended Mackinow school in Illinois.
Midge married Richard Norman Wagler on November 3, 1951 in Hartsburg, IL. After marriage Richard joined the Air Force in 1952. During this transitional period, Richard was stationed at many Air Force Bases all over the world. They were married for 72 years & during this union, five children were born. After Richard retired from the Air Force they made their home in Wichita Falls, TX.
Through the years, Midge was not only a caring wife, mother and grandmother, she also worked outside the home. She was a waitress at Nickerson Farms in Wichita Falls. She also enjoyed promoting products from Avon and Mary Kay. She worked for Revlon at the BX on Sheppard Air Force Base.
Midge always put others first, and her quiet strength helped many. She enjoyed simple joys and the company of loved ones.
Her smile and soft-spoken nature will never be forgotten. Her memory brings comfort even in this time of sorrow.
She was preceded in death by her father Roy Hunt, mother Lois Norton, stepfather Ervin Wines and sister Patricia Hunt.
Survivors include her spouse Richard Wagler of the home; 5 children: Rick Wagler, Terri Perez & John of Wichita Falls, Christy Miller of Wichita Falls, Vicky Wagler of Lancaster, TX & Michael Wagler of Navarre, Florida; 5 grandchildren; Errika Hathaway & Larry of Walters, OK, Riyan Miller and Laci of Walters, OK, Karissah Whitaker and Jordan of Burkburnett, TX, Derek Whitney & Allena of Wichita Falls, TX & Randy Whitney & Cherie of Hammond, LA, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.
