Alan W. Yeary

Alan W. Yeary, of Dodge City, Kansas, died on Sunday, July 17, 2016, at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital at Wichita, Kansas. He was born in Emporia, Kansas, February 28, 1948. Alan attended schools in Kansas City, Missouri and Wichita, graduating from Wichita Southeast High School in 1966. He earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Physics graduating with Honors from Wichita State University. He worked as a computer programmer/analyst position for Central Corporation in Dodge City, KS retiring several years ago. In retirement, he continued pursuing his interest in technology, science, national and international politics and photography. He was preceded in death by his his younger brother, Steven M. Yeary, whom he adored, and his parents, Oklahoma C. Yeary and Georgia V. Yeary. He is survived by his sister, Teresa Yeary of Ames, Iowa, brother-in-law, Robert Herrick of Wichita, KS, and numerous cousins. A brief memorial service will be held at Woodbridge Christian Church, 12111 East 13th Street, North, Wichita, KS, on Friday, July 22, at 1PM, with interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
