Annie (Hibbert) Mueller, 98, died Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Pioneer Ridge Assisted Living in Lawrence, Kansas. She was born to Frank and Ethel Hibbert, on March 21st, 1926, in Leigh, Lancashire England. She was adored by her three brothers, Stanley, John (Jack) and Frank, all deceased. All of Annie's education was in England.
When World War II began, Annie met an American soldier, Fred Mueller, of Dodge City, KS. They dated for some time before getting married on March 6, 1945. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary six months before Fred died, October 10, 2016. The stories they shared of the war were amazing.
Annie lived with her daughter and husband, Susan and David Schneweis, after Fred’s death and prior to moving into Pioneer Ridge Assisted Living, which she quickly claimed as family.
Annie is survived by her son, John of Houston; daughter, Susan Schneweis, and husband, David of Lawrence, KS; three grandsons: Derek of Houston, Brian of Lee's Summit, and Chris of Tonganoxie; one granddaughter, Stacey Mueller-Ortiz, LaPorte, TX; four great-grandsons: Vance Mueller, New Caney, TX, James David Schneweis, Tonganoxie, KS, Matthew of Lawrence, KS, and Daniel Ortiz, La Porte, TX; five great-granddaughters: Brittany Mueller, Houston, TX, Kaitlyn Wilson and Madalyn Schneweis, Overland Park, KS, Leah Schneweis, Tonganoxie, KS, and Nellie Ortiz, LaPorte TX; and four great-great- granddaughters: twins, Olivia and Violet Ruiz, Houston, TX, Kaiya Wilson, Overland Park, KS and Camille Mueller, New Caney, TX.
A visitation for Annie will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, one hour prior to service at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Immediately following the service will be a graveside service at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W. Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209
