Branda, Barbara Jane Matthews, 84, Wichita, passed away Friday, Sept. 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rhea King Matthews and Edward Betz Matthews; and brother, John Edward "Jack" Matthews. She is survived by her husband, Ron; brother, Edward Betz Matthews II; sister, Margaret A. Krause; sons, Ron "Corky" Branda (Carole), Dale Branda (Katheryn); daughters, Shelly Moore (Bill), Barbie Hicks (Dane); 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at West Heights United Methodist Church, 745 N. Westlink. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
