

Barbara passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the age of 85 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on March 14, 1940, to Daniel (Jerry) and Pauline Grimes in Cherokee, Oklahoma.
Barbara’s father built grain elevators while she was growing up. Her family traveled all over the United States. She often attended multiple schools in a single year. She was an only child and an absolute daddy’s girl. When she started high school at Wichita North, she remained in Wichita until she graduated.
On November 7, 1957, she married Raymond Slusser. After marrying Raymond, they moved to Oklahoma where Raymond worked with Jerry (her dad) building grain elevators for several years. After several more years, Barbara and Raymond decided to make Enid, Oklahoma their home. Two children were born from this marriage, Danny and Terri (DeeDe). Around 1965 the family moved to Wichita, Kansas to be closer to their families. On July 6, 1976 Barbara married Ross Greenfeather.
She worked for 1st National Bank and was in charge of Credit Card Operations. Not long after marrying Ross, she decided to quit her job to become a Homemaker. In 1987 Barbara and Ross started Greenfeather Bond and she continued to work there until she had a stroke On July 20, 2025.
Barbara loved her family and loved spending time with them. She loved to travel with her family and friends. She also loved entertaining friends in her home. She enjoyed taking her beloved dog, Kacie for walks. Barbara was full of life and was loved by everyone who knew her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ross Greenfeather. She is survived by her children, Danny Slusser and Terri (DeeDe) Ricketts (Terry); grandchildren, Kyle Slusser, Tanner Slusser, Riley Slusser (Shayla), Colton Slusser (Megan), Danielle Whiteside (Tyler), Bryan Ricketts (Kristen) and her great grandchildren, Daymian Slusser, Holden Ricketts, Wyatt Whiteside, Wesley Whiteside and Waylon Whiteside.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm and funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Decemeber23, 2025, at 10:00 am, both at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
