Benita was a huge sports fan. She always attended the granddaughters softball games and spent most of her life driving to golf courses, watching football games and celebrating KU basketball's wins. Benita's life was dedicated to her husband and her three sons. She was a terrific stay at home mom and cook. After her sons moved out, she worked as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital for many years. She also worked as a teller at Intrust Bank. Benita will be missed by many.
She is preceded by her husband of 60 years, Horton; and brothers, Joseph Hadley, Gilbert Hadley. She is survived by sons John (Robin) Goss, Jack (Melanie) Goss and Dale (Nancy) Goss; grandchildren Jennifer Goss, Paige Goss, Kara Goss, Blair Goss, Morgan Chesser, Jordan Gribben, Lindsey Goss and Shelby Goss; great-grandchildren, Parker Chesser, Caroline Chesser, Ethan Salkil, Eli Salkil, Peyton Goss, Aurora Christiansen, Rhett Goss and Haven Goss and one on the way.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 6pm-8pm at Resthaven Mortuary with Graveside Service at 1:00 pm Friday, July 16, 2021. Memorials can be made to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside Ave. Wichita, Kansas 67219 .
