Billie passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at the age of 89 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born to William “Bill” and Clio (Pippin) Veteto on June 9, 1936, in Cookeville, Tennessee.
She worked multiple jobs until she settled at the Wichita Clinic, training coworkers on computer programs for the company, later retiring from there. She was also a life long member of the Northside Church of Christ.
Billie was married to the love of her life, Lovel Gene Swan for 68 years. Together they have two children, Glenn Swan and Kay (Swan) Balas.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Darrel Allen. She is survived by her husband, Gene Swan; children, Glenn Swan, Kay Balas; grandchildren, David Swan, Randy Swan, Sidney Hyde, John Balas, Dylan Balas and great grandchild, Elliot Balas.
Funeral services for Billie will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the Northside Church of Christ, 4545 N Meridian Ave, Wichita, Kansas 67204 with burial to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, Kansas, 67209.
