In memory of Billy Gene Vardaman Jr., it is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected and tragic loss of Billy, Financial Examiner Expert for the Kansas Department of Credit Unions. Billy, our gentle giant, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 53 in his home in Wichita, Kansas. He was a devoted, kind, and caring family man, married to Michelle Dawn Vardaman on February 17, 1996 in Wichita, Kansas; and was most proud of his children Isabella Rose Vardaman and Benjamin Duke Vardaman's activities and achievements. He had a passion for cooking, karate, football, and was an expert marksman. Billy was born in Wichita, Kansas on April 17, 1965 to Billy Gene and Adah Belle Vardaman. Billy was a graduate of Wichita North High School, the University of Tulsa, and Wichita State University. He had a very calming presence and would do anything to assist another person in need. He was very active in his church home, Celebration Baptist Church. Billy was preceded in death by his father - Billy Gene Vardaman, and is survived by his Wife - Michelle Dawn Vardaman, his Daughter - Isabella Rose Vardaman, his Son - Benjamin Duke Vardaman, his Mother - Adah Belle Vardaman, and his Siblings - Vickie Louise Vardaman and Jennifer Jean Vardaman and her Husband - Michael Pollen.
Services for Billy celebrating his joining Jesus Christ in Heaven are being held at 10am on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Metropolitan Baptist Church, 525 W. Douglas, Wichita, with a viewing beginning at 9:15am.
A memorial has been established with Youth Horizons, 1601 East Douglas, Wichita, Kansas, 67211.
