I miss you and think about you every day. I pray for your family and friends still, and hope you're watching over us.

By no means was I BJ's best friend...but he was mine by far. When I needed to talk about my bro who died he listened. When others want to run away from an uncomfortable situation, he just listened as a good friend should. I won't ever forget him for that, unfortunately it's him I mourn now as well.

I had the honor of working with Brad at the REC.  He was the youngest gentleman I have seen in a long time, ALWAYS opening the door for me when we were going in the break room at the same time, loved to see pictures of my grandkids, talked about his parents going to the casino, about his friend that lived in Albuquerque, and we always talked about the Chiefs.  The most important part was giving him gum and candy, even before they allowed us to have it! Such a good person, a beautiful smile and a gentle heart.  He is missed so much.

BJ, I knew you since elementary school and always thought you were a kool cat.  I wish we had a chance to kick it.  I will always remember you and you will never be forgotten.  RIP BJ.

BJ, even though my first words to you were back in August, your smile had caught my eye a long time before that.  Our first conversation was via a note that I passed to you while we were sitting next to each other at the PO, and I am so glad that I worked up the nerve to "talk" to you.  You became a great friend and I always looked forward to work because I knew I would get to see you. "Hater," hater juice" and "copper" were some of my favorite texts to receive from you, and I will miss the randomness at which they came.  You gave me a raincheck to use a few weeks before your death and I wish so much that I would have gotten a chance to spend more time with you. I will forever hold onto the memory of watching "Natural Born Killers" with you and that soft, orange, blanket.

Even though it was hard to deal with at first, I am so thankful that I was able to talk to you and hear your voice one last time before you were taken from all of the people who love and care about you.  I still wish that I had gotten a reply from that last text.....

RIP BJ. I will miss you.

I am having such a hard time thinking of how my life has to be with out you.  Living with out seeing your sideways smile and laughing so hard I would pee myself.... You were always there for me and know that your in heaven with my baby boy, teaching him all the things you know about sports and how to do the seigel shuffle... :) watching over him like you did when the both of you were here. I just found out today of this terrible misfortune. I met BJ when I was in my early 20's.BJ was my friends friend... Through that time period we became friends. He was always a happy person. Not a mean bone in his body. We hung out and never had a single problem amonst us friends... Just conversation, smiles, and laughter... Definately gone too soon, but never forgotten. May GOD bless his loved ones.

I don't know him, but have seen him at work.  He seems to be a very nice young man.  I am so sorry for the families loss.  He will be missed by friends and family, but never forgotten.

I grew up with BJ being the brother I never had and in some cases didn't want :)  Some of the best times of my life were spent at the Wellbrock house. BJ loved with all of his heart, I will miss you!!!

Im shocked and very sad to hear of BJ's passing, and in the manner it happened. I can't imagine what his family is going through. Losing a loved one is so very hard and hard to accept. I remember the days of Anderson elem and Mead middle school as if it was yesterday and riding the bus with him and all of us South City kids, he was always funny, laughing, having a good time in life. Looking at his pictures now as an adult he carries the same smile he had back when I knew him. My prayers and thoughts are with all of his friends, family during this very difficult time.

I used to always tell you that we had to accept people for who they are.  Well, I not only accepted you- I loved you for who you were. Your charm, your character, your lust an zeal for knowledge, and yes- even your swag.   I loved the "fat boy wiggle".  I  loved that you called me "Nerd Burger". I loved the fact that you couldn't even boil your own eggs.  I love most of all that you touched so many people and that I happened to be one of them.  I am truly grateful for all of the time we spent together. I love you- now and always.

You brought light to this is a cruel and disrespectful world. You were a great friend, great brother, and a wonderful son to your wonderful mother. It breaks my heart to see the pain she is enduring after her loss. God calls his good soldiers home for a reason, and he needed you more then us. BJ, I don't really know what to say to you, but I am so so so very sorry.  I left almost 4 years ago and just knew I would see you again.  I knew you, B.P., and I would be able to kick it just like we always did!  I would call you Bradley Joseph and you would tell me to stop calling you that before we both made fun of Brian for his poor taste in NBA teams.  I protect people for a living but could not be there in time to protect you.  I will have to deal with that and the fact I never got to say goodbye.  God only knows why he needed you now, but I don't blame him.  I have nothing but hilarious moments to remember with you.  Brian and I will have constant laughs while we reminisce.  God broke the mold with you and I know there will never be another one in my lifetime.  I have learned a valuable lesson through this situation.  I can never take advantage of the time I share with good people because I will never know if that time is the last time I will see them again.  I will be there Saturday to say goodbye.  I pray, when I see you in heaven, you have forgiven me for not being there when you needed us the most.  Brian is struggling without you and I pray you can bring your peace to him as well.   BJ, I love you and miss you so very much.  I will keep all of your family in my prayers.

So sorry to the Wellbrock family. BJ was a great guy.  I remember after school at Meade he and some of the guys would come over and play basketball in my driveway with my brothers Matt and Daniel, and Josh Hunter.  And, BJ would always ask for food.
