I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Sending prayers for you and your family.

Mr. Demaree....I have lost count the last few days how many times I have heard the students from the last couple of years say you were their favorite teacher! Warms my heart that we had the pleasure of meeting you & having you are one of Dalton's teachers. Thank you for leaving a legacy with him that he will never forget. :-)

Mr. Demaree was my high school history teacher and not only taught me to write, but to embrace my love of history and politics. His passion, attention to detail, and love is something that I strive to pass on to my own students every day. His legacy lives in each of us who had the honor of sitting in his classroom.

He was a huge influence on me in high school, and I know many others can say the same. A great teacher, a passionate coach and a class act all the way.

Although I only had one class with Mr. Demaree he was a great teacher and will be greatly missed. I was looking forward to my daughter having him for a teacher because I knew he would be great with her. Rest in peace, your pain is over.

RIP Mr. Demaree, you were a great teacher and person. You were an amazing teacher and will be missed dearly!

My senior year (1996) I requested to be his student teacher.  I truly enjoyed our visits and helping him grade papers.  I am teaching college classes now partly because of Mr. Demaree. I was sad to read about his battle with cancer.  My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Demaree. What an amazing person you were.  The good Lord has called you home as your work here on Earth is through. We all miss you already. Thank you for making an impact on me and so many others. Our lives are truly better for just knowing you and learning from you in so many ways. Prayers are with your family.

R.I.P. Bruce. Prayers for peace and comfort for your family and friends.

Bruce was one of those teachers that made history come alive and obviously cared about his students. He may only now be finding out the impact he had on so many lives. My thoughts and prayers are with #375, students and faculty, as well as his family and friends.

Cousin Bruce you left too soon.  You will be missed by many.  My heart goes out to all your family at this time of grief.

You have lived a wonderful life, and now you are onto a wonderful reward. That being said, you will be missed. May your family find comfort in knowing that you were an excellent teacher, friend and person.

 Bruce and I grew up together, both in school and church. Our families were friends long before that as well. Saw him last in March 2014, but frequently ran into him at wrestling matches and the store when I was living in Wichita. He was such a wonderful guy, who cared for his students, family and friends. I will miss him and sharing stories with him. Many prayers go out to his family.  RIP my dear friend!

Bruce was my next door neighbor on cooper ct 20 yrs ago.  we both were educators and we became friends with similar interest. I hated to see them leave. Micah got me help in 95 when I hurt myself in the back yard and Becca drove my son to Southeast for a year.  Nice man and great family.  our prayers go out to his family for their loss

Bruce was an outstanding teacher that took each of his students as they came to him. He had no preconceived notions of who they were or what they were about. Bruce embodies what teaching should always be about. He was also my neighbor in ElDorado, KS. He will be greatly missed by all.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I met Bruce when he came to EHS and was my wrestling coach. Being "big boys" I often was targeted for his special wrestling guidance. It was grand.

Heaven welcomes a great man!  Prayers and condolences to the family in this difficult time.  Bruce touched so many people including mine being a great friend!

I worked on the Rock Island Railroad with Bruce after our Jr. year in high school. We played football against each other Goodland/Norton. We coached wrestling in the same league in the 70s Hill City/Trego.
