Carol, better known as Nadine, attended Wichita East High School, where she met her husband, Clarence Carpenter. They were married in December of 1952, on Nadine's birthday and were married for 32 years.
Nadine spent her working years raising her children, and later as a home health assistant for people in need.
Nadine was a avid card player and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Several beautiful memories were made working on holiday baking, joking around, and spending days at the park.
Nadine is preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence Carpenter; her parents, Russell and Ruby Marker; and her sister, Gloria Good.
Nadine is survived by: her three children, Greg Carpenter (Kay), Diane Kristek (Tim), and David Carpenter (Melinda); her grandchildren, Melissa Estill (Jeremiah), Alexander Carpenter (Ashley), Michael Kristek, Christopher Carpenter (Elle), Jen Patrick, Tim Trobyn Liss; along with great-grandchildren, Becky Mayer, Hali Bouchidid, Byron Liss, Anthony Bouchidid, Ethel Bouchidid and Freya Bouchidid.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, in the Garden of Cross, Lot 167 C, Space 4.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated in Nadine's name to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
