Carolyn A, Payne 90, loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012. Carolyn was a homemaker, a devout member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church, and loved spending time with her family. She was born to Henry and Constance (Westerhouse) Scott in Fort Scott, KS, and was married to Merle Payne for 60 years. She is survived by her Janice (Don) Doze; sons, Michael (Sandy) Payne; Terry (Vickie) Payne; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband, Merle Payne; and four sisters. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 4-8p.m. Family will be present from 6-8p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home East. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at the Kechi Cemetery.
