

Littlejohn, Carrol Edward, architect, was 84 when he was called home. He was born in 1930 near Wilson, OK and as a young man moved to Texas. He graduated from Wichita Falls, TX Sr. High school and briefly attended Midwestern University where he helped organize their first Tennis Team. He transferred to OU where under the mentoring of Bruce Goff he obtained his degree in architecture (1955) as well as a commission in the Army Corp of Engineers, obtaining the rank of Captain. After completion of active duty, he moved to Wichita where he worked for John Hickman and Art Woodman, Architects during the development of the Wichita Civic Center. He worked with George Hampton and later with Law Kingdon Architecture as a project architect. After retiring in 1997, he continued work as a private consultant until 2006. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy and children; Sheryl Whitmer, her husband Jim, Cathy Callahan, her husband Steve, Jim Trump, his wife Noemi, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His hobbies included Classical music, tennis, bird hunting, reading and home improvements. Although Carrol was the worlds worst at spelling, he and Nancy challenged each other to do their best! Rosary will be Friday at 7 pm at Resthaven Mortuary and services will be held Saturday at 10am at St Francis of Assisi.
