

Clarence was drafted into the Army and stationed in Germany from October of 1960 to 1962. He was in the Reserves for another 4 years following active duty. Clarence had 2 children, Carrie and Brent with his first wife Jane. He met the love of his life, Judith Messenger Neel in 1983, at a church function and were later married on June 4, 1988, creating a blended family. Clarence retired in 1999, after 36 years with Boeing, working as a Tool and Die Maker.
He loved to play golf, square dance, travel all over the US (especially Alaska) and Europe and take cruises in the Caribbean with his wife, Judy. Clarence was an avid KC Royals and KC Chiefs fan. He was a member of the Masons and Shrine and a volunteer driver for the American Red Cross.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Judy Raaf; sister, Emily Garrett; daughter and son-in-law, Carrie and John Carter of Peck, Kansas; son and daughter-in-law, Brent and Paula Raaf of Peck, Kansas; daughter, Michele Neel Ridder of Augusta, Kansas; daughter and son-in-law, Angela (Neel) and Dale Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; grandchildren: Holly Carter of Wichita, Kansas, Kristin Carter of Peck, Kansas, Alexis and Benjamin Kindred of Pennsylvania, Sidney and Hunter Chadic of Wichita, Kansas, Michael Ridder of Wichita, Kansas, Jude Ridder of Augusta, Kansas, Gage Brown and Grant Brown of Kansas City, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Braxton Raaf and Bennett Wolfe; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ralph and his wife, Linda Raaf and his granddaughter, Anyse Raaf.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, July 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM at West Heights United Methodist Church, 745 N Westlink Ave, Wichita, KS 67212. Resthaven is not involved with the Memorial Service so please send all flowers and donations directly to West Heights or the family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Clarence's honor to Shriner's Hospital for Children and West Heights United Methodist Church.
