

Becker, Clayton Lowell, 83, peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones on March 30, 2015. He was born in Hutchinson, KS to Herman and Lucille Becker on April 22, 1931. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Kansas University. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly Jean Becker, Wichita, KS; daughter, Ginger Lee Yocum (husband, John Robert Yocum), Houston, TX; son, Michael Scott Becker (wife, Nancy Becker), Lincoln, NE; daughter, Marsha Kay Becker (John Cornett), Wichita, KS; son, Joseph Peter Becker (wife, Emily L. Becker), Steamboat Springs, CO; grandchildren, Nicolette Yocum Munguia-Boatz, Carrie Reed, Jacob Godlewski, Trisha Baer; 9 great-grandchildren; niece, Meredith Murphy and nephew, David Baird. He was preceded in death by sister, Glennys Baird (husband, Howard Baird) and grandson, Alexander Yocum. Clayton was a longtime director of Maude Carpenter’s Children’s Home, now Carpenter Place. He was a vibrant character, bouncing through life from one adventure to another. He loved his family, he loved the Lord, and he loved to bring joy to others. Visitation with family is 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Resthaven Mortuary. Funeral service is 1:00 pm Thursday, April 2, 2015 at Grace Presbyterian Church.
