Cruz was united in marriage to Jack C. Scott on March 10, 1962, in Miami, Oklahoma.
Cruz was a lifelong Catholic, where she was a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church of Wichita, Kansas. During her free time, she enjoyed summers at the lake, gardening, but most of all, spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Jorge and Maria Rodriguez; her husband, Jack C. Scott; her 11 siblings; along with her granddaughter, Summer Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Ruth (Roy) Bohlken, Carla Sherman, Steve (Melinda) Scott, and Mark Scott; her sister, Teresa R. Gonzalez; her 10 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation with Cruz's family will be held from 4:00 PM ~ 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 10:00 AM on Friday, July 11, 2025; Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 AM, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 South Pattie Street, Wichita, Kansas 67216. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
