Olmsted, Daniel Gayle "Dan," 59, City Water Department maintenance supervisor, passed away Feb. 9, 2015. Dan loved bowling, animals and his mini-ranch. He was a wonderful husband and a caring, giving, helpful friend who would always help those in need. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord and Dorothy Olmsted and sister, Margo Province. He is survived by Debbie Olmsted, his wife of 30 years; brothers, Larry (Sunhee) Olmsted of VA, David (Jody) Olmsted of Oxford, KS, Don DeVore of Wichita; sister, Connie McDonald of Wichita; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial service 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Rainbow Meadows Horse Rescue, 1949 Dalton Road, Sedan, KS 67361.
