Darlene Marie Patrick, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. She was born on July 10, 1946 in Garden City, Kansas, the 6th of 8 children of her parents Clementine (Heili) and Anthony Unrein.

Darlene grew up in Wichita, Kansas from the age of 4 years old. Darlene was married to Joseph R. Price from 1964 to 1994 and they brought into the world their two sons Kendal and Jeffrey. Darlene married the love of her life, Duane J. Patrick, in 1998 and enjoyed their lives together living on a farm in Lindsborg, Kansas until her passing.
Darlene’s proudest accomplishment was being a mother and raising her two boys. Darlene’s other accomplishments included graduating beauty school and becoming a licensed Beautician, attending nursing school where she learned to enjoy caring for people in need, and being a school bus driver.
Darlene enjoyed giving back to her Lord and Savior through her many volunteer activities at Freemount Lutheran Church in Lindsborg, Kansas which included ice cream socials, decorating the church, and working on Christmas Shoe Boxes.
Darlene also volunteered weekly as a Hairdresser at Sunflower Terrace by Bethany Village in Lindsborg, Kansas, where it gave her great pleasure to give back to the elderly residents by spreading fellowship and joy.
Darlene enjoyed listening to Christian music and attending many gospel shows in Branson. Darlene most enjoyed spending time with ALL her family by going on trips and playing games. Some of Darlene’s fondest memories were from hours of playing cards, dominos, and especially wahoo with her family and friends.
Darlene’s greatest joy in life came from spending time with her Grandkids and Great Grandkids.

Great Grandkids (Patrick): Merick, Nate, Nora, Everett, Amber, Daks, Wroeby, Mallory, Max, Ryan, Penelope, Mackenzie and Harlan
Darlene was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Leroy, Willard, Benny, and Dennis; sisters Shirley and Judy.
Survived by her husband Duane; sons Kendal (Kelly) and Jeffrey (Marice); and sister Dorothy; and the Patrick children Mike (Cathy), Kevin (Zoey), Lisa (Brent), and Marcia.
Funeral Arrangements: Monday, January 23, 2023, Visitation 1:00-3:00 PM and Funeral Service 3:00PM at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita, Kansas.
Memorial Mass: Saturday, January 28, 2023, 10:00AM at Freemount Lutheran Church in Lindsborg, Kansas.
