Kevin and I met David at the racetrack.  He became one of the people we spent a lot of time with at racetracks and outside the track.  There are so many great memories of our times with him, from how much he loved Pepsi, which was evident because he bought it literally by the pallet instead of by 24 pack like the rest of us...his love for his cats CJ and Monster.  The time he impatiently waited 2 hours to eat at the Outback with us, only to have the waitress drop his steak on the floor when she went to serve him.  Let's just say David did not see the humor in it like the rest of us did.  Him driving to Perry Oklahoma to rescue us one night when we had been at Noble racing one weekend without him.  I won't say who this was, but when another racer told David one day at the track that he was gonna knock his teeth out..in true David fashion, he took his denture out and held it out in his hand and said "Here, I will save you the trouble."   David was so diverse in personality, but if he saw you as his friend, you could always count on him.  The memories are nearly endless.   I can honestly say David made an impact.  Our lives, and racing has not been the same without him. We still chuckle sometimes over things just because of how David would have reacted to something, or  memory of how he DID react to things.  We will ALWAYS  miss him.  

I always loved going out an watching David race he was a dang good racer an one of the nicest men i have ever met he was one reason I started my drag racing he will be greatly missed

He gave me the ride of my life in his 390 Ranchero GT. I grew up on N Seneca we ran around together.  Your family is in my prayers. Dennis Jones

In my late teen and early adult years David was like a second dad to me. He was great friends with my parents and was at their house every night. His hate for ketchup  was very apparent. Favorite memory was when we all went to Sals and my dad got the server to pretend to squirt ketchup at him. I thought David was going to jump over the grill lol. David is going to be missed greatly. 

David you were a good friend for many years. 
I'll do a burnout for you !!!
