I remember when you came into our lives...I would have never imagined back then how much you would impact mine. You were such an easy going, fun loving person.  Your eyes twinkled with youth and your smile could light up any room. You saw through my rough exterior, potty mouth and bs and loved and accepted me for just me. I know that you know how much I appreciated that you knew me well enough to know my heart. 
I already miss the, "oh cool!" you would give when you received a gift you had wanted or you telling Jack to get his bed on the porch ready because you guys were going to kick mom and my butts at cards.
Jack and I always loved spending time with you and mom, playing cards, going out to lunch or dinner or even just hanging out at home and watching movies.  I have such great memories of you! Mom was going through pictures and found the one that you took of her on my wedding day when you pulled back the shower curtain and took that snapshot of her "popeye" face when we were all getting ready...you made sure we got a copy of that picture and we had it enlarged in an edible image on her 40th birthday cake...I think that is the loudest I ever heard you laugh.
You were there for me always...through a wedding, a home purchase, Inkwells seizures, the fire, the passing of my grandma and later Josh, you helped so much when we took Leif and Levan...you were such an awesome grandpa! Thank you for being there...and thank you for never treating me like anything less than your daughter...I would give anything to have you back but I know in my heart I was truely blessed just to have you in my life at all, I guess thats why it hurts so bad now that youre gone. I love you and I miss you. I will see you in Heaven one day.

To all tha family I'm so sorry. I was glad to know him, and all of you.

I first met Dave in the mid ninties.
He was working as a production manager at a local aircraft parts manufacturing company. That company had failed "due to poor business decisions" which Dave had no part in making. The company had very few customers,very few process controls, and very little cerdibility. Out of the ashes of the failed company AEI was born. At the same time, the aircraft parts supply industry was undergoing a fundamental change. The change involved moving from an inspection based system "catching mistakes" to a process based system where work methods were documented, taught and self audited. Dave became the Director of Quality at AEI. His mission was to create process documentations, refine existing documentation, ensure that the work force was trained in the processes and were familiar with command media. Dave also served as the focal point with customers and industry auditors. He was the point man for reestablishing credibility for AEI in our industry. Dave did that job extremely well. Under Daves leadership AEI gained approvals for industry wide standards such as ISO and NADCAP. In addition AEI's customer base and process approvals were greatly expanded to an industry wide level from only a handful when we began. In summary, Dave played a vital role in rebuilding a company from shambles to a respected and significant member of an industry.
These few words cannot do justice to the amount of effort it took to get there. I am proud to have known Dave and to have worked with him. We could always count on his honesty and desire to be a part of a solution. God bless you Dave. Rest in peace.

Debi, and all family of Dave Lee, my prayers are with you. Dave will be remembered as a great boss who knew when to pick his battles and when to leave it as, "It is what it is". He trusted his employees and really admired and built each employee's skills. He was the smartest man I have ever known. He taught me more in the six years I worked for him, than I learned in 25 yrs. at other places.I am so saddened by the loss of your loved one.All of you please know that he loved each of you, and he would occasionally make comments of how proud he was of you Debi, and how he was proud of who his children and grandchildren are. My prayer is that the good memories will fill your hearts and the saddness will turn to joy knowing that Dave touched the lives of so many people and brought them happiness.

I'm honored to have know Dave and had the opportunity to work for him and with him.  He tought me so much about aircraft.  I loved working with him.  I remember my first interview at AEI with him 13 years ago and was so happy that he gave me a job and the opportunity to learn.  I'm saddened that his retirement was cut so short.  I remember him saying that he was looking forward to sitting around the table in the morning and drinking coffee with his wife.  I am so sorry for you loss.

Dave was a wise and wonderful man who I only got to know and work with for a short time here at Apex. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

To Lee, I am sorry to hear of your loss of your brother. My older brother passed away last September, so I can sympathize with your feelings. Please accept my condolences.

We had the pleasure of working with Dave for 10 years.  Dave was a loyal friend, dedicated employee and partner at AEI, a man of integrity, delight to work with, and all around good man.  We will miss him dearly but know he will be looking down on all of us with that big smile and hearty laugh.  Our prayers are with the family.

It was my utmost pleasure to have worked with Dave while I was assigned as Apex's source inspector for Lockheed Martin.
 Dave and I had some memorable moments in the quality realm. I'll always remember his gentle laugh. He'll truly be missed, my prayers and thoughts go out to his family.

Dave, I will never forget all the great times I had with you. I am so glad I got to be a part of your life. I will never forget you. Watch over all of us. Debi, my heart goes out to you and all of your family.

I lost a brother, a good friend.  I love you Dave.  Debi, my prayers and love are with you and all of your family.  It seems so unreal--too short of time.  We hope to all meet again someday.  I know that Dave will be watching over you, Debi, keeping you safe and warm.  We don't know the reason why, but we will see the whole picture one day.  I love you, Debi.
