Her family moved to Norwich, Ks, when she was 6 years old. She graduated from Norwich High School in 1949, after graduation she attended Wichita School of Business. She met her future husband and they married on October 1, 1950. Dee volunteered her time working/cooking at the Ronald McDonald House in Wichita. She was actively involved in many activities at the Methodist Church including UMW, Circle and later Funeral dinners, packing soldier boxes and Winterfest. When she wasn't cooking, Dee loved to work in her flower beds and garden. She was always canning and freezing something she had grown. The family spent many years traveling, camping and fishing with friends.
Dee is survived by her son Steve of Andover, Ks, daughter Cathy of Derby, Ks and brother Jim Holland of Arkansas. Arrangements are being made by Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita, Ks.
She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, her parents Charlie and Fern Holland, husband Bob in 1996, her brother Marvin of Mississippi and sister Diane Taylor of California.
Visitation will be Tuesday September 8, 2020 from 5pm-7pm at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E 13TH ST N, WICHITA, KS 67206. Services will be on Wednesday September 9, 2020 at 1pm in the chapel at Lakeview Funeral Home.
