Franklin, Dennis W., born June 10, 1937 in Cawker City, KS, passed away January 3, 2016. Services will be Wednesday, January 6 at 10 am at Resthaven Mortuary. Visitation Tuesday, January 5th from 6-8pm. Dennis was a long time employee of Cudahy, Safeway, and Farmland meatpacking companies. He retired in 2002. He worked hard his entire life and provided for his three children. Dennis was a loyal and devoted father. Dennis loved the Lord. He spent his life helping others, often doing without to make sure others were provided for. Dennis loved his family. He was immensely proud of his children. He loved bowling, and played on many leagues throughout his life. Dennis was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl Franklin and Amanda "Louise" Franklin, and sisters Karlene Gass, and Val Robinson. He is survived by his children, Kevin (Stephanie) Franklin, April (Will) Harrington, and Brian Franklin, all of Wichita, grandchildren Baylor (Dianna) Harrington, Kylie Cartwright, Billy Harrington, Derek Franklin, Brooke Harrington, Annabelle Franklin, and Jillian Franklin, and 1 great-grandchild, and sisters Linda Ivie and Sandy Vaughn.
