McKown, Donald W., 77, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at his home. Don was born in Pratt, KS on May 6, 1932. He moved to Wichita after graduation from Pratt High School in 1950. He served in the Navy and then went to work for KG&E in 1956, retiring in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary (VanCamp), children, Michael of Wichita, Gary of Olatha, Jeff (Maria) of Wake Forest, NC; 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and sister Meda (Joe) Poland of Lakewood, Co. Visitation at Resthaven Mortuary, Thursday March 18, 6-8 p.m.; funeral services at West Side Christian Church, 1819 W. Douglas, Friday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials established with West Side Christian Church and the American Heart Association.
