Aaby, Dorothy Elizabeth, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 31, 2011. Preceded in death by her parents, Lew and Peggy Walck; brother, Merle Walck and her husband of 57 years, James Aaby. Survived by her children, Gina (Mark) Loibl, Theron (Tanya) Aaby and Tabby (Trent) Underwood. Grandchildren, Lindy (Tyler) Stephan, Amber (Joe) Kruse, Landon Loibl, Amanda Underwood, Alyssa Aaby and Ashlyn Aaby. Great grandson Micah Ogborn-Aaby and great granddaughter, Addilyn June Stephan. To know Dorothy was to know that she lived her life exactly as she wanted, she loved her sports, she never knew a stranger and her generosity and compassion for human nature was never ending. She was an avid lover of wildlife and spent a great many years of her life caring, feeding and providing a natural refuge for the animals. Her circle of friends was vast and limitless. She will be missed by many including her family who loved her dearly and cannot imagine life without her. To know Dorothy was to know that she would prefer a donation to the Kansas Human Society or the Lord’s Diner in lieu of flowers. Viewing is Thursday 12 to 8 pm with family receiving 6 – 8 pm and funeral service is 10:00 am Friday, Nov. 4 at Resthaven Mortuary.
