

Eddie L. Goble, 80, retired USD 219 superintendent, made his executive exit Feb. 13, 2018. Eddie was the embodiment of a generous and compassionate man. As a exemplary provider, he devoted in earnest his time and any resources he had with a joyful heart and without hesitation. He also had a kind spirit and gentle grace; he always put others first. Ed enjoyed an active life golfing, playing racquetball, dancing, fishing, playing cards, and indulging in watching Kansas College Basketball. He was a very social man and made lasting friendships with his southwestern Kansas and Wichita friends. He was a champion to his family and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Janis Goble and parents, Daryl and Leona Goble. He is survived by wife, Darlene Patee Goble, sons, Bryan (Lissa) and Lance Goble; daughter, Kathy (Butch) Manning; step daughter, Bev (Rick) Feist; grandchildren, Dan (Danielle), Kevin and Kylie Goble, Sydney Hicks, Danielle (Max) LeClaire, Brittany (Mark) Ringle, Ali Nicole Feist; great grandchildren, Alana, Jace and Thea LaClaire; as well as his dear southwest Kansas and Wichita friends. Ed’s visitation will be at Resthaven Mortuary 11800 W. Hwy, 54, from 5-7 p.m. Fri. Feb. 16, his funeral service will be at Pathway Church’s Westlink Campus, 2001 N. Maize Road, 10 a.m. Sat. Feb. 17, and burial will be at Wakita Cemetery in Wakita, OK, 3:00 p.m. Sat. Feb. 17, 2018. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 3450 N. Rock Road, #204 Wichita, KS 67226.
