

Ellis attended Kingman High School, Kingman, KS, where he graduated in 1955. After high-school, he attended college at Kansas State University where he begun general education classes. Ellis went into the United States Air Force soon after where he became a B-50 navigator.
Following the military, he was united in marriage to Jane German, then continued his studies at Wichita State University, receiving a bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering.
Ellis worked for 35 years at Cessna Aircraft, where he started as a Test Pilot, then retired as a Vice President over Flight Test and Experimental.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ellis Faye and Helen Brady; along with his wife, Patricia Brady.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn (Alex) Dean, Carilyn (Jeremy) Scarborough and Mike Shaver; along with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209. Visitation & Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Freedom, Wichita.
