Eugene D. Owens, 80, retired construction worker and carpenter passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. He was a longtime member of Carpenters Local 201, Knights of Columbus and hunter and safety instructor. He served in the United States Army.
Preceded by his parents, Glen and Vera; brother, Roy “RH”; sisters, Connie, Sandy and Christine. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Moonyeen; children, Corliss (Darrell) Engle, Gene, Dale, Kevin (Pam), Karen (Mike) Mishler, Larry; sisters, Imo Gene “Sis” McFarland, Sally Wolke, Charlene Putman; brother, Gary Walton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Rosary, 6:30pm, Friday, January 24, 2014 and Funeral Mass, 1pm, Saturday January 25, 2014, both at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
