Everett Leon Lacer, 72, of Wichita KS, passed away on May 6, 2024. He was born to Eleanor Jaso Torrez in Ashland KS on March 7, 1952. Graduating from Wichita North High School in 1971, he embarked on a fulfilling career as a Master Welder, leaving a lasting impact in Fort Worth, TX. In the heart of Wichita, he found professional success and enduring love, marrying Mary J. Lacer. Beyond professional pursuits, Everett found solace and joy in life's simple pleasures like riding his motorcycle through the open roads, gardening, listening to music, dancing, and was an avid bigfoot follower. Everett is also one of the last descendants to leave the Mexican Village in Dodge City, KS.
Everett is preceded in death by his father Gerald Leon Lacer, brother Gordan Orlando Lacer, and sister Esther Monica Lacer. He is survived by his mother Eleanor, sisters, Mary Ann Lacer, Rose Lacer “Tutu” Martinez, Paula Jean Patterson, and Graciela Merman-Joslin, and brothers, Gregory Vincent Lacer, Carlos Jaso “Pepe” Villasenor, Jose Anthony “Spunky” Gonzalez, and Juan Manuel Mar, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on May 25, 2024, at 6 PM at the Antioch Christian Church located at 3741 W. 15th St. N., Wichita, KS.
