Ezekiel “Zeke” Michael Irving Tyrrell, precious son of Dakota and Mariah Tyrrell, was born on April 27, 2024, in Kansas City, Missouri, and passed away surrounded by the immense love of his family on March 3, 2026, at the tender age of 22 months.
Though Zeke’s time on earth was far too short, his life was filled with immeasurable love, joy, and the gentle light that only a child can bring. From the moment he arrived, Zeke captured every heart around him. He was cherished, protected, and adored—his family devoted every moment to caring for him and meeting his every need. Zeke’s presence made ordinary days feel extraordinary, and his sweet spirit touched everyone blessed to know him.
Zeke is deeply loved by his parents, Dakota and Mariah Tyrrell; his paternal grandparents, Ashley Roth, Russell Tyrrell, and Melissa Tyrrell; his maternal grandparents, Joe and Jennifer Reef; his paternal great-grandparents, Greg and Cindy Roth, Mary Tyrrell, and Mike and Carla Tyrrell; his aunts and uncles—Madison Tyrrell, Taylor Southern, JJ Reef, Trent Reef, Cloey Reef, Noah Reef, and Joclynn Reef; and many extended family members, including his cousin Milo. Each one held him in a special place in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Papa Mark Letterman, NaNa Tracey Towry, and Papa Dale Reef, who now hold him gently in heaven.
Zeke will forever be remembered for his tender presence, the joy he brought into every room, and the beautiful way he completed the hearts of those who loved him. His memory will continue to shine as a reminder of pure innocence, unconditional love, and the profound impact even the smallest life can have.
The family asks that memorials or donations be made in Zeke’s honor to a charity of your choosing, as a way to continue spreading the love he brought into the world.
Though our arms ache and our hearts grieve, we rest in knowing that Zeke’s light will never fade. He will be loved for all eternity.
