

After World War II, she fell in love and married Roy Edward Reed and enjoyed 56 years of married life. She worked at Boeing as a tool crib clerk for 35 years. She was mother of two wonderful sons, Mike and Gene, and she loved gathering with her family. She was active in Northside Church of Christ and was an avid gardener who raised amazing flowers and produce. A devoted Wichita State Shocker fan, she had season tickets for baseball and basketball for decades – she was even named fan of the game in basketball. She lived independently until the last few months of her life and enjoyed her friends and family and was surrounded by family on her last days.
She was preceded in death by her husband Roy; parents Arthur R. and Georgia May Tuggle (Mack), her brothers Robert Tuggle (Mary), Brian Tuggle, JR Tuggle (Lee), Sidney Tuggle, her sister Mary Windham (Everett), and her son Mike Reed (Des).
Her family was her great love, and she is survived by her son Gene Reed (Chris), grandsons Jake Reed (Nancy), Matt Reed (Rachel), Ben Reed (Jennifer), and granddaughter Christi Mejias (Jamie). Great grandchildren brightened her life and is survived by 13 great grandchildren: Maya Reed, Kennedy Reed, Jackson Reed, Cooper Gromala, Grace Gromala, Charlie Reed, Landon Schmidt, Brooklyn Reed, Katie Reed, Cooper Reed, Riley Schmidt, Landon Thomas, and Sophia Mejias.
Viewing will be will be Friday, September 26 from 5:00-8:00, with services at 3:00 on Saturday, September 27 at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Ks. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Northside Church of Christ.
