Brown, George "Charlie", Jr., 85 died May 22, 2014. George would want you to know that the freedoms our Founding Fathers fought and died for are unique and precious in this world. He strongly believed each citizen need's to recognize the specialness of our country. That we each must defend our constitutional rights and accept personal responsibility for creating the course of our lives. He would say, review our Bill of Rights; question what you believe and why you believe it; be careful where you place your trust; never stop learning; and never stop challenging yourself to become better than you are. He was a kind man that served his country during the Korean War and retired from McConnell Air Force Base as a civil engineer at the age of 59. He spent the next several decades continuing to oversee his other full time job of managing rental properties. He showed his family and friends what was important to him by living his values of loyalty, fairness, hard work, forgiveness, kindness, generosity and don't forget to laugh. He was devoted to his beautiful wife Kathleen and his children Pat, Gary, Wint and their spouses John, Janice and Julie. All of his beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren wish you could have known him. He loved being Santa Claus and always celebrated the 4th of July with a truck load of fireworks. We think his father, Judge Brown, would be proud of the way he chose to live his life. Viewing and visitation is 4 to 6 pm Monday and funeral service is 10:00 am Tuesday, May 27 at Resthaven Mortuary.
