

Bledsoe, Gregory Jay “Greg”, 55, a lifelong resident of Wichita, passed into eternity on April 16, 2014 at his home after a five year battle with cancer. Greg was born April 27th, 1958, in Wichita, the second of three children of Harry D. “Hap” and Mary Louise (DeVry) Bledsoe. He grew up and worked many years at his family's business, Resthaven Mortuary and Cemetery. Later, after several years installing sprinkler systems, Greg owned and operated PAL-HI Drilling. Greg was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Never one to miss an adventure, he also loved playing pool, skiing, boating and motorcycles. Even more than all of these, Greg loved people. His big smile, giant bear hug and willingness to help anyone in need will always be remembered. Greg greatly loved his three children Monica, Vincent and Colton Bledsoe. He also leaves his mother Mary Louise Bledsoe; father and his wife H.D. “Hap” and Cynthia Bledsoe; brother Tom Bledsoe; sister Mary Bollinger; step sisters and brother RaeAnne Angelo; Patti Tasker; Jim Schultz; Vicki Braun; Donna Floyd and many other family members and good friends. He will be greatly missed but we know that he is free from pain and lives forever in our hearts. The family also wishes to thank Pat, Lisa and Kelsey of Interim Hospice for their care and support. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, April 18th, at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita. The Rosary will be said at 2:30pm followed by a funeral service celebrating Greg’s life at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 19th at Resthaven Mortuary. Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
