Jacobs, Helen Louise (Hammann), 82, died peacefully October 23, 2011 surrounded by family. Born to Henry & Genevieve (Deiterle) Hammann on August 11, 1929 in Burns, KS. Preceded in death by parents; husband Charles E. Jacobs; siblings Mary (Catlin), John, Martha (Jacobs), Margaret and Karl. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law: Douglas & Melanie of Wichita, Mark & Cindy of Spring, TX, Phillip of Derby, Tom, Steven Eric, Jeffrey & Kim all of Wichita. Daughters and sons-in-law: Ginger & Don Prichard of Wichita, Deana & Tim Scott of Burlington, IA and Stacy Jones of Wichita; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Helen was a devoted wife and the best mother her children could ever hope for. Visitation Tuesday 6 p.m. followed by Rosary 7 p.m. at St. Anne’s. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Wednesday also at St. Anne’s. Memorials have been established with Presbyterian Manor of Newton, KS and Hospice of Newton, KS.
