Hambelton, Kurt, 54, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, with his family by his side. Kurt loved and followed all sports. He was especially loyal to Shocker Basketball/Baseball, KC Royals and he was a KC Chiefs Fan long before they were back to back Super Bowl champions! Kurt was also a long time fan to Wichita Baseball, following the Aero's, Wrangler's, and even Wind Surge at Riverfront Stadium.
Kurt is preceded in death by: his father, Mel Hambelton; along with his brother, Jeff Hambelton.
Kurt is survived by his children: Kyle, Paige, Ashtin, and Alexis Hambelton; his mother, Beverly Hambelton; his brothers and sister, Mark, Eric and Lisa Hambelton; along with his nieces and nephews, Stefani, Allison, Tyler, Megan, Logan, Austin, Taryn, Brooke, and Eden.
Visitation with family will be 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, Kansas 67209.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Olivet Baptist Church, 3440 West 13th Street North, Wichita, Kansas 67203. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
