Winter, James D. “Jim”, 70, died December 17, 2014. Jim spent 50 years in the manufactured housing industry, was an active member of the Kansas Manufactured Housing Association and former owner of Lakeside Community. He was a 28 year member of The International Crown Victoria Association and committed to the local classic car community. Jim also volunteered for the Wichita River Festival for over 14 years. He is survived by his wife, E. Sue Winter; son, Michael D. Winter and companion Leanne Cook; step son, Andrew Benish; step daughter, Nel Benish; brother, Thomas (Kumi) Winter; sister, Carol (Jerry) Williamson; grandchildren, Morgan, Ashton, Bo and Logan. Memorial service is 11:00 am Saturday, Dec. 20 at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Victory In The Valley or The ARC of Sedgwick County.
