Janice had so many houseplants when she would divide them up to re-pot I was the fortunate receipient of many. Her memory will live on with them. She also fed the stray cats, which she couldn't adopt since she had a house full of birds. I miss her very much.

Janice, your passing has left a hole in our family and in our hearts.
Your wit, humor, and love of life will long be remembered.

I regret that I didnt have opportunity to know her well. Her presence always lit up the room. May she forever dance among the stars.

I regret that I never had the opportunity to meet you Janice, but am so very thankful that your legacy lives on in one of my best friends, Lori and her daughter Melissa.  May you rest in peace.

I was shocked to read of Janice's passing since she was someone I could imagine kicking up her heels until at least 90. I worked with Janice during 2004 until early 2005, and she still remains one of my favorite co-workers. Janice and I were very different in type and personality, yet we could just look at each other and start laughing about the same situation. She was a joy to share the work day with. I am sad that her days were far too few.

Janice was always so much fun to watch dance and to sit and talk with. I have so enjoyed getting to know her over the years and I will miss her!

I'll never forget when she and Laurette were doing a duet at Abram's cafe' and they did a head throw.  Janice's wig went flying.  I wasn't supposed to, but I don't think anyone could've stopped laughing if they wanted to.  ESPECIALLY Janice.  She tried for years to duplicate that stunt.  I'll never forget how she found humor in just about everything.  What a great lady.  I will miss her greatly.

I met Janice when we stayed in the same home when she was a student in Puebla, Mexico.  She had a great sense of humor, and I have happy memories of making pizza, visiting her family in Hutchinson, and doing Christmas craft projects. I danced with Janice in Amira's Dance Troupe. If I remember correctly, she introduced me to Long Island Iced Tea. What a fun lady - she will be missed by many.

I have many good memories of Janice from grade school and high school.  She was a very gifted individual.  She was intelligent, athletic, a good musician, and knew how to have fun.  Her farm background and good work ethic were also positives for me.

I remember her fainting when we were singing in either the 7th or 8th grade, taking her to Tedder's Drug Store after the last day dinner when we were 8th graders, taking her to the FFA party when we were Freshmen and being in school plays with her.  Janice hasn't been to many of our class reunions, but it was always good to see her when she came.  I will miss her.

Stephen Peirce

I can still here the Tarzan yell echoing through the house announcing the arrival of my dear Aunt Janice!  Always ready with a new craft or activity, Lori and I grew up with Janice teaching us how to sew, make face cookies, candles, put on make-up,belly dance, and tell the best scary stories.  I used to introduce her to my friends, "this is my Aunt Janice. She's a witch!"  I will always hold close the memories of her joy in life and her compassion for others - especially little animals.

Janice and I would play piano duets at her house (Parade of the Wooden Soldiers) was a favorite. High school pep rally, we did lip sing to Charlie Brown, He's a clown. Janice was my maid of honor in our 4th of July wedding 45 years ago.  Three years was the last time I saw Janice, We went on a Quilt shop hop to 6 quilt shops in Wichita and had such a time.  Janice, you will be missed.
Clydene (Kagarice) Sigle

I danced with Janice for many years. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a joyous stage presence. She shared sage advice for dancing and for living numerous times with me throughout the years. I will miss her very much!

Janice has been a part of my life since before I can recall.  All of the fun times that my Mom and I spent with her will most certainly never be forgotten.  From her dogs, Kirby and Hoover (Properly named for which vacuum store they were found closest to), to the birds that beeped like the microwave- not a dull moment was had when time was spent with Janice. All of my school days, 1st grade through senior year in high school, are full of memories of Janice.  We had a lot of fun together, and people frequently thought that we looked so much alike that strangers asked if we were twins.  Janice always enjoyed life and made it fun for everybody around her.  She will be deeply missed.

Chele (Potter) Clarkson

Janice was one of the truest dancers I have had the pleasure to know.  She was encouraging and happy to share her knowledge.  The studios at Amira Dance Productions will always be brightened by the fact she was part of them.  I wish peace to her family.

I have so many fun and wonderful memories of Janice as we grew up as neighbors and classmates from 1st grade through our senior year. She was a joy to be around.  She will be greatly missed..
