Jo Ann Stuffings Abel, 81, born July 14, 1934, to Lena Freda Thomas and Herbert Emanuel Stuffings, passed away January 29, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mildred Ruth Stuffings Schmidt; brother-in-law, Harry Schmidt. She is survived by her huband of more than 60 years, LaVoy F. Abel, of the home; sister-in-law, Sharon Montoya, Mt. Vernon, Washington; brother-in-law, Lindell Abel, Portland, Oregon. She is also survived by son, David W. (Katherine) Abel, Wichita; son, Kenneth L. Abel, Wichita; daughter, Anita L. Tracy and friend Norena Burton, Eureka; grandchildren, Dustin Knight; Cassie (Maynard) Sharp; Joe Clements; Jim (Mindy) Clements; and Nicholas (Amanda) Clements all of Wichita. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016, at Resthaven Mortuary.
