John William Brimer

Brimer, John William “Bill”, peacefully departed this life on November 25th at the Sumner County Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Kansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Josephine Brimer. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, children John, Jr. (Michelle), John Parsons (Cynthia), Rhonda Lowderman (Steve) and Chris Williamson (Jeff) and grandchildren Jordan, Phil, Caitlyn, Josh, Bennett and James. Bill was born in Wichita where he lived his entire life with the exception of a tour in the Navy. He returned from the Navy to join the Wichita police force for a short time. He attended Stanford University for a semester in hopes of a medical career. He changed his goal to a law degree and returned home to graduate from Kansas University and Washburn and practiced law in Wichita until he retired. Bill lived a colorful life and lived it “his way”. His most enjoyable times were spent around the kitchen table with family and friends solving the world’s problems and telling life stories, of which he had many! The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Golden Living Nursing Home in El Dorado, KS and to Sumner County Care Center and Sumner Regional Medical Center in Wellington, KS. The staff’s love and kindness made Bill’s final days peaceful. Cremation handled by Resthaven Mortuary. Private family graveside service to be held in Hardtner, Kansas.
