John was united in marriage to Dora Rae Custer on September 26, 1987 in Wichita, Kansas.
John enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle with his posse, playing disc golf & softball, but most importantly, taking care of his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, Juan and Carmen Padilla; his daughter, Lori Ann Padilla; along with his granddaughter, Kristina Marie Padilla.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Dora Padilla; his children, Stacy (Ben) Granados, Stephen (Brenda) Padilla, Charlene (Joseph) Reece and Joshua (Emily) Padilla; his grandchildren, Matthew, Jesse, Mya, Stephen Jr., Zachary, Julian, Jayda, Layla, Ariyn, Roman, Dominic; his great-grandchildren, Nehemiah, Olivia, Evalynn, Octavia, Niera, and Elliott; along with many special friends.
Visitation will be held from 8:00 AM ~ 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2025; Memorial Mass will follow at 9:00 AM, both at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 2701 South Pattie Street, Wichita, Kansas 67216.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with: Children's Mercy Hospital, 2401 Gillham Road, Kansas City, Missouri 67208.
