

Senn, John J. “Johnny,” 94, of Wichita, died Nov. 18, 2014. He was born in Yates Center, KS on March 14, 1920, to Bert John Senn and Mary Frances Melton Senn. After serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he moved to Wichita and worked at Beech Aircraft, then the IRS. He was a Special Agent in the Intelligence Division when he retired from the IRS in 1975. He is survived by his son Craig Scott (Donnamarie) Senn; daughter Jannell Diane “Jan” Senn; daughter-in-law Rita Senn; sister Irene Hunter; grandchildren John Jerald Senn, Jennifer Gay Willkie, Robert Lewis Senn, Dylan John Senn, Evan Hilton Senn, Rachel Anne Evans, Kelsey Frances Evans, and Max John-Augustus Evans; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of over 47 years Velma D. “Scotty” Senn, his son John J. Senn, Jr., six siblings, and numerous other relatives and in-laws. John loved family, Kansas, nature, and learning.
