

"Buud" Redmond Age 96, passed away on February 5, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born May 15, 1927, in Wichita, Kansas to Albert and Alice Redmond. Buud served in World War II as a Veteran Merchant Marine serving in the Indian Ocean Theatre and he was a retired owner operator of Bud Redmond Wrecking Co., here in Wichita.
He is preceded in death by wife, Dorothy (Headley) of Wichita, KS; wife, Patti (Edmondson) of Wichita KS; parents, Albert Joseph & Alice Eliza (Wilson) Redmond of Potosi MO; sister, Jo Annette Simpson/Winston of Cassville, MO and brother, Robert Redmond, Potosi, MO.
Buud is survived by his sister, Rachel Klein of Wichita, KS; daughters, Glenna Cramer of Stillwater, OK and Bunny Llanes of Haysville, KS; along with numerous grand / great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was a talented businessman, artisan, mechanic, metal worker, blacksmith, and welder. A very gifted storyteller possessing a keen wit and endearing sense of humor. He enjoyed motorcycle riding from the age of 14 and up until the age of 90. He was a member of the Sunflower Chapter of the American Antique Motorcycle Club and former President of the Kansas Prairie Dogs Dune Buggy Club. Buud was a loving and generous man, who will be remembered and missed by family, friends, neighbors, and all he ever met.
Services will be held Friday, February 23, 2024, at 10:00am, at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy. 54, Wichita, KS 67209.
