Well it's been 4 1/2 years now and I still miss you dad! I made one of your favorite dishes- Cincinnati Chili. It's not as good as you always made but it reminded me of you. I shared a picture of it and told most of the Rose family about it. Is felt good to tell everyone because it made me feel like you were here. Wishing I had talked to you more. Wishing you were here for Christmas dad! Addi is getting so big. She is 3 now. She would definitely have you wrapped around her little finger. I love you!

I know coming to this web site and talking to you is kinda crazy but for some reason I feel like it helps to read the things I've typed to you before. I miss you dad! I'm worried about Shane. I don't want to start to cry again to I'll end this post. I love you!

It's been a while since I came here to write. A lot has happened. Your grandson has a girlfriend named Abby and they have had a beautiful baby girl named Addison.  Dad you would just love her so much. Shane is growing up to be a fine man. He still has some ways to go but you would be so proud of him. Mom has a rough couple of years but seams to be doing better every day.  Dad I miss and love you. I find my self wanting to talk to you so often!

If I could talk to you to day I would say, do you remember the restaurant called BJ's Brewer? Donald and I pass by it on occasion when we go to Oklahoma City. That was the last time we went out to eat together. I miss you Dad! I wish I could tell you I love you!

It's been nearly 6 months and 2 days since my wonderful Dad passed away. The shock and numbness are wearing off but the pain is still very raw. I knew it would be hard but I didn't anticipate how strong the feelings of loss and emptiness would be. What I wouldn't give to see him again! I'll never stop missing him but I know in time the pain will start to fade. I offen find myself thinking of him in a happier light. He was truly one in a million and I'm so lucky to have had him as my Dad. I thought I'd always appreciated him when he was alive but now he's gone I look back and realise I had no idea how blessed I was to have him around. That saying about not knowing what we have until it's gone is SO true! It will be our first Christmas with out him in a few days. I'll probably cry my eyes out but I want to do something positive to celebrate his life. That's what Dad would want. I miss you Dad! With all my Love, your little girl!

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new. I thought about you yesterday, and days before that too.
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name. All I have are memories and a picture in a frame.
Your memory is a keepsake, from which I'll never part. God has you in his arms. I have you in my heart.
I miss you lots Dad.

Our prayers are with you Elvie and the rest of the family.  We have some wonderful memories of you all. We had such a sweet time in the Lord during seminary days. God be with you and comfort you during these days.  Our love and prayers always.

Elvie, Michael, Tim, Jennifer, Donald and Shane, you will be in my thoughts and prayers forever.  I will miss Joe forever, but a smile will come to me when I remember that one day I will see him again.  I will miss you big brother.  Love you all.

My sympathies to all of you. You guys have always been a second family to me. Joe and Elvie were like my parents and grandparents to my children, Jennifer my sister and Michael and Tim like my brothers. You guys have extended your love to me many a time and I am now extending that back to you. Joe was undoubtedly a God fearing man and I'm sure he's looking down at all of you from heaven. I'll never forget all the stories Joe told and the look in his eyes as he told them. He truly put his all into what he believed. I wish I could give half of that faith toward my beliefs without falter. I'll never forget him.

Knowing God makes these times a little easier because of the hope we have in Christ. It certainly does not make the days pass any easier as we work toward re adjusting to life without those we love. My prayers are with Joe's whole family. He is defiantly a great man of God and took that with him no matter what the case was. In fact one thing he told the last time I saw him was to be careful when i go in to the law enforcement career and to always keep God by my side.

My prayers and thoughts are with my Uncle Joe's family.  My thoughts on my Uncle Joe:  He was a great, handsome, smart, loving christian man who was very caring.  I didn't get to spend much time with him here on earth, but the little time I did have, there was a special bond created by him.  He cared deeply for his family and spoiled my mother (his sister) rotten.  Whatever Moma said she needed, Uncle Joe & Aunt Elvie would always send her a care package over many miles. I know Uncle Joe is in heaven now looking down upon all of us and blessing us.  I was off for two days and able to be home with Moma when God took Uncle Joe.  I believe he planned it this way so Moma would be okay.  I love you Uncle Joe and I will see you in heaven one day.  May God Bless his family and give them the strength they need.

Joe was a great man who loved God and his family with all his heart. I never saw Joe get angry. Not even when he tried to make Elvie and me understand that a Christian soap oprea was no different that any other soap opera. We missed you when you left Perryton, but we'll miss you more now. Until we meet again in Heaven.

Mr. Rose (Joe) was an awesome man of God who played a huge part in leading me to the Lord and helping me to understand God like I never had before. Thank you, Joe! I know you're up there in heaven rejoicing with the angels now. God bless.
