Joyce L. Lakin passed away October 28, 2016. She was retired from Wichita Federal Savings and Loan after 40+ years. Joyce enjoyed volunteering at Wichita area hospitals in the gift shops, and also at Botanica. Other interests included playing bridge, membership in Beta Sigma Phi, chapter Alpha Theta for over 50 years and her Sunday school class at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Survivors are her daughter Valerie (David) Smith, grandsons Austin and Brandon Smith, and 7 nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 1pm on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Lakeview. Funeral service will follow at 2pm. Memorials in her name can be made to Botanica, 701 Amidon, Wichita, 67203.
