Kenneth W. Akers, 75, passed away December 5, 2020. Kenneth proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and retired from the USPS. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Angeline Akers; wife of 49 years, Kitty Akers; son, Nicholas Akers; in-laws, Harold (Rita) Knapp; and sister-in-law, Paula Birket. He is survived by his son, Chris Akers; daughter, Stacy (Rocky) Bauman; granddaughters, Mariyah and Hayleigh Bauman; sisters, Cecelia (Roscoe) Taylor and Marilyn (Dwayne) Rumsey; brother-in-laws, Harold (Debbie), Rene (Valerie), Brian (Janet) and Tom (Deanna) Knapp, and Greg Birket; sister-in-law, Jamie (Timm) Cantrell; as well as many extended family members. Rosary will be held 10 am with Mass of Christian Burial directly following on Friday, December 11, 2020, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
