Larry Richard Whiteker

Whiteker, Larry Richard, 64, of Augusta, KS passed away on Friday May 6, 2016 at home in Augusta, KS. Larry was born on March 7, 1952 in Wichita. the son of Richard and Joanna (Morgan) Whiteker. Larry and Jackie Whiteker were united in marriage on June 24, 1972 in Haysville, KS. Together they celebrated 43 years of marriage and were blessed with their son John Whiteker in 1975. Larry and his business partner owned and operated Helten-Whiteker Construction for 39 years. Larry will always be remembered for his passion of motorcycles and love for family. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Whiteker and sister, JoBeth Bennett. Survivors include his loving wife, Jackie Whiteker of Augusta, son, John (Shannon) Whiteker of Andover, KS, mother, Joanna Whiteker of Wichita, brother, Mark Whiteker of Wichita, grandchildren, Cord Whiteker, Logan and Shay Montes all of Andover and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Mon. May 9, 2016 with family present from 6 to 8pm. Funeral services will be 2pm on Tues. May 10, 2016 both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th St. N., Wichita. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita. Memorials can be made to the charity of your choice.
