Shields, Leland Everett,80, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away September 4, 2015. Leland is retired from the U.S. Air Force and the last survivor of his immediate family. He was an Eagle Scout and a Vietnam veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #4 and the V.F.W. Post #3155. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clark and Hazel Shields; brother, John Neal; sisters, Kathryn Mohney, Bette Harris; grandson, Daniel Roy Smith and great grandson, Cody Sean Blue. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dorothy Shields; children, Diana Lynn (Curtis) Roberts, Debra Ann (Mike) Garnett, Michael Edward (Carolyn) Shields, Christine Elaine (Mark) Smith; 25 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Viewing is 5 to 7 Tues and funeral service is 10:00 am Wednesday, September 9th both at Resthaven Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to D.A.V.
