Letha Louise Lassley, age 87, of Park City, Kansas passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. Louise was born on May 4, 1935 in Piedmont, Kansas the daughter of the late Alfred Ernest and Lena Mae (Newport) Schouten. She was a graduate of Piedmont High School.
On June 1, 1956 she married William W. Lassley. They were married for 53 years, until his death in 2009.
Louise was devoted to being a homemaker and mother to her only child, Curtis, who was special needs. They were avid baseball and soccer fans, supporting local teams for years. They also enjoyed attending Country Music shows, locally and in Branson, Missouri. In 2007, Louise moved to Andover Court Assisted Living in Andover, Kansas due to health needs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; son, Curtis; sisters, Pauline Ferry, Barbara Dean; sisters-in-law, Sharon Schouten and Roberta Schouten; and brother-in-law, Ervin Ferry.
Survivors include her brothers, William D. Schouten of Spring, Texas, Lee Schouten of Piedmont, Kansas; brother-in-law, Paul Dean of Greensburg, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Ervetta Ferry, Ron Ferry, Brent Schouten, Bryan Schouten, Todd Dean, Star Troyer, Ashley Schouten, John Schouten and Ryan Schouten.
A visitation for will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 5, both at Resthaven Mortuary Chapel, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. A graveside service will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Garden of Lord's Prayer.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association, 5800 Foxridge Drive, Mission, Kansas 66202.
