It is with sadness we announce the passing of Liandro D. Martinez of Wichita, Kansas who passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at the age of 53. He was the son of Jose Jesse Martinez Sr. and Elfida (Hernandez) Martinez and brother to Jose Jr., Marcos, San Juanita and Steven.
Being from a large family, he valued the closeness and made sure time was well spent with husband, Luis Llanez. Yet in his down time, you’d find him watching football and basketball, cheering on some of his favorite teams such as The Philadelphia Eagles for football and The University of Kentucky was his go to basketball team. When watching a game, you’d find one of his four dogs, Lilly, Zippy, Buddy, and Little Bit, curled up in his lap or tongues hanging out the window when he’d load them up for car rides and treats.
Those left to honor his memory include his husband, Luis Llanez; sister, San Juanita Martinez; brother, Steven Martinez; many nieces and nephews; and cousins.
Preceding him are son, Travis Rodgers Martinez; his parents; brothers, Jose Jr. and Marcos Martinez; and his grandparents.
