

was born in Newton, KS to Marvin and Gladys Esau on March 10, 1956. She passed away September 8, 2016, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, KS surrounded by her family after a courageous and dignified battle with pancreatic cancer. Linda grew up in Walton, KS, and attended the Walton Grade School. She graduated from Newton High School in 1974. In high school and college she was active in music, playing both the French horn in the band and orchestra, and bass guitar in jazz band. After attending Hutchinson Community College, she graduated from Adele Hale Business College in Hutchinson, KS. She married David Miller of Sterling, KS, on March 28, 1975, at the Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton, KS. Linda had a career in the banking industry, working at The Walton State Bank in Walton, KS and Bankers’ Bank in Wichita, KS. She was on the J & M Bancshares Inc. Board of Directors. Linda’s favorite thing to do was attending her grandchildren’s activities. She loved to sew and enjoyed baking cookies with her grandsons. She is survived by husband David Miller of Wichita, daughter Jacqueline (Jacki) and Christopher (Chris) Epp; grandsons Tyler Allen and Austin Jacob Epp, all of Wichita; sister Donna and Keith Woolery of North Newton, brother John and Shirley Esau of Walton, Kansas; sister-in-law Becky Esau of Newton, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Gladys Esau, and brother Dwaine Esau, all of Walton. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 and Celebration of Life Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2016 both at Resthaven Mortuary (11800 W Hwy 54, Wichita, KS, 67209). Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
